Why we help
Founded in 2005, Chaverim was launched by a group of concerned individuals eager to provide emergency and non-emergency volunteer aid within the capacity of a grassroots organization. We help motorists stranded by car lockouts, flat tires or running out of gas, and help with Meis Mitzvah and Shiva Minyans. The Chaverim hotline has logged more than 200,000 calls to date.
Who we are
Chaverim is a network of dozens of volunteers, equipped with an advanced dispatch and communication system, and constantly expanding to new communities. We operate in Toronto, Thornhill and throughout the GTA. New recruits are screened, then trained on call, and given the equipment they need.
How we handle expenses
Chaverim provides all services free of charge. We rely solely on donations from the community to cover the cost of our services. Your support lets us keep helping the Toronto community.
